Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of YTranscribe (the "Service"), a free web app for slowing down, looping, and bookmarking moments inside YouTube videos to help you learn songs. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated as an independent project from Serbia. You can contact the operator at ytranscribeapp@gmail.com.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal consent in your country, you may need permission from a parent or guardian. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You can use the Service without an account — projects are saved locally in your browser. If you create an account (handled by Clerk), you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for any activity under your account. Please tell us at ytranscribeapp@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You can delete your account at any time by emailing ytranscribeapp@gmail.com. We will remove your account and the projects and bookmarks linked to it within a reasonable period.

The Service does not host, stream, download, transcode, or store any video or audio content from YouTube. The YouTube IFrame Player runs entirely in your browser and streams directly from YouTube, subject to YouTube's Terms of Service.

The Service stores only the metadata you create: the video ID, an optional title, and the bookmarks and markers you place. You are responsible for ensuring that the way you use YouTube content through the Service complies with YouTube's terms and the copyright laws that apply to you.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or to infringe anyone's rights, including copyright
• Attempt to download, scrape, or redistribute video or audio content through the Service in ways that would breach YouTube's terms
• Reverse engineer, exploit, or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users
• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or that impersonates someone else
• Use the Service to send spam or automated traffic

We may suspend or remove access to accounts that violate these rules.

Tips through Ko-fi are entirely voluntary. They unlock no features. They are non-refundable except where required by law. Refund and dispute handling for any payment is governed by Ko-fi's own terms.

The Service's name, logo, design, and code are owned by the operator. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission.

You retain all rights to the projects and bookmarks you create. You grant us a limited licence to store and display them solely so the Service can function for you.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may take the Service down for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons. We will try to give reasonable notice of any change that materially affects you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. The total liability of the operator for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, since the Service is free, will normally be zero.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (for example, for fraud or wilful misconduct).

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if continued use creates legal or operational risk for the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the competent courts in Serbia. If you are a consumer in the EU, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection granted by mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
