Is YTranscribe really free?+−
Yes. The whole app works without an account, locally in your browser. An account only unlocks cloud sync across devices — everything else is the same.
Do I have to tip to use features?+−
Never. There is no "premium" tier and no locked features. Tips are appreciated but purely optional.
Is this a one-time tip or a subscription?+−
Either — Ko-fi lets you pick. One-time tips don't charge again; monthly supporters can cancel anytime on Ko-fi.
Why Ko-fi and not something else?+−
Ko-fi takes no platform fees on tips, supports one-time and monthly, and doesn't force supporters to create an account. That's the whole calculus.
